Computer-Telephony Integration
The UniCTI application is designed to
facilitate the integration of computer and telephony networks in companies. The
current version stores the company customers' database, capable of identifying
incoming and initiating outgoing calls. The new version implements the customer
service history documentation, so the application started to evolve
towards becoming a fully functional customer management system. It will soon be
capable of exchanging documents between the company employees.

In terms of the computer and telephony
integration all features of the previous
version are still supported.
Moreover, the following elements have been added or extended:
- telephony - It is now possible to monitor
multiple devices concurrently. The user is provided with the real time
information on the state of the phones of his associates. The numbers of
their currently active outgoing calls are also revealed. This makes it
easier to decide about intercepting an unaswered call. Only a single mouse
click is enough for performing the call interception. In the current
version the program is also capable of monitoring the number of calls
waiting in the ACD queue, to which the user is currently logged. This
functionality enables the user to adjust the length of the call depending
on the number of the waiting calls.
- user interface - Programmable function keys
have been introduced, allowing to automate frequently used functions such
as: redialing, selecting a specific number, logging on and off ACD
clients, ACD readiness/working after call. Searching the contacts'
database as well as dialing numbers unavailable in the database is now
much more faster and convenient.
- The UniCTI application is now more tightly
integrated with the UniMsg
server. The voice and fax mail client has been built in.
- The functionality of the built-in text
messenger has been extended. In the near future the users of the UniCTI
will be able to exchange faxes and any printable documents.
- The visual component
can be used to integrate with the UniCTI server application. So any
computer programmer can implement the integration with the telephone
network.
